Integrace společenských a humanitních věd do programu Horizont Evropa

Zapojení společenských a humanitních věd do výzkumných a inovačních projektů zůstává stejně jako v předchozím programu Horizont 2020 i nadále prioritou pro celý Horizont Evropa, zejména pro všechny jeho klastry, mise a partnerství.

Současné globální výzvy jsou natolik složité a komplexní, že nemohou být řešeny jen jednou vědeckou disciplínou, ale často vyžadují spolupráci mezi různými obory. Je proto potřeba lepší spolupráce mezi technickými (STEM, přírodní vědy, technika a technologie, matematika) a společensko-humanitními obory (SSH). Disciplíny v sociálních vědách a humanitních oborech mohou hrát při řešení těchto složitých výzev důležitou roli, a měly by proto být zařazeny do návrhů projektů. 

Jak najít témata vhodná k zapojením společenských a humanitních věd? Výzvy programu Horizontu Evropa, kde je vyžadován relevantní příspěvek sociálních a humanitních věd, jsou označeny specifickou prioritou "Soci-economic science and humanities" a jejich seznam seřazen na portálu Funding & Tenders Opportunities. 

Informace k integraci společensko-humanitních věd (včetně seznamu oborů SSH vhodných pro zapojení) do Horizontu Evropa jsou uvedeny v Průvodci programem Horizont Evropa na stránkách 20–21. V rámci jednotlivých pracovních programů budou vyznačeny výzvy, v jejichž rámci  se očekává silný důraz na SSH. V projektových návrzích takto označených výzev bude potřeba v části B.1 jasně vysvětlit roli těchto disciplín v projektu, případně odůvodnit, proč nejsou zastoupeny. V části B.2 je pak potřebné popsat, jaká je expertiza navrhovaného konsorcia v oblasti SSH.

• Rozpočet je 113mil EUR a bude podpořeno 80 projektů. Očekávaný rozpočet na jeden projekt je od 0,8mil EUR do 1,5mil EUR.
• Koordinátor projektu musí být z "Widening země". Země, které dosahují nižších výsledků v oblasti výzkumu a inovací (70 % průměru EU).

According to the Horizon Europe regulation, the Widening countries are: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and all associated countries with equivalent characteristics in terms of R&I performance and the Outermost Regions.

• Doba trvání projektu maximálně 3 roky.
• Bude financováno formou Lump-sum - pevnou částkou (žadatelem bude stanovena pevná částka za zrealizovaný pracovní balíček). 70% rozpočtu na výzkumné aktivity musí být alokováno koordinátorovi.
• The research part should be presented in a dedicated work package and plan and should include scientific objectives, tasks and roles of the partner, as well as arrangements for formulating new (or ongoing) joint research project(s).

AIMS

Twinning aims to enhance networking activities between the research institutions of the Widening countries acting as co-ordinators and top-class leading counterparts at European Union level by linking it with at least two research institutions from two different Member States or Associated Countries (1+2). 
Therefore, building on the huge potential of networking for excellence through knowledge transfer and exchange of best practice between research institutions and partners. 
Twinning actions intend to help raise the research profile of the institution from the Widening country as well as the research profile of its staff including a special focus on strengthening the research management and administrative skills of the coordination institution from the Widening country.

Project results are expected to contribute to all of the following expected outcomes:
• Improved excellence capacity and resources in Widening countries enabling to close thestill apparent research and innovation gap within the European Union;
• Enhanced strategic networking activities between the research institutions of theWidening countries and at least two internationally-leading counterparts at EuropeanUnion level;
• Raised reputation, research profile and attractiveness of the coordinating institution fromthe Widening country and the research profile of its staff;
• Strengthened research management capacities and administrative skills of the staffworking in institutions from the Widening country;
• Improved creativity supported by development of new approaches in Research and Innovation collaboration, increased mobility (inwards and outwards) of qualified scientists.
