Announcement of the deadline for submitting applications for the award of special purpose scholarships for the support of studies abroad or for reasons of undertaking work placement on the territory of the Czech republic or abroad

1.       The conditions for awarding and the amount of the scholarship to support studies abroad or for reasons of undertaking work placement in the Czech Republic or abroad, as well as the submission of applications are governed by Regulations for awarding scholarships at the Faculty of Social Sciences (hereinafter referred to as “Regulations”). A proposal for awarding the scholarship is submitted by the student to the Dean of the faculty upon the return from abroad.
2.       In compliance with article 3 para 2 of Regulations I hereby stipulate the deadlines for submitting applications related to the stays implemented via the FSV:

a)      Stays conducted in the winter semester of the academic year of 2015/2016

March 18, 2016.

b)     Stays conducted in the summer semester of the academic year of 2015/2016

October 14, 2016.

3.       With regard to the possibility of performing state examinations immediately upon the return from a stay, I hereby also stipulate two additional dates:

c)      Stays conducted in the winter semester of the academic year of 2015/2016

January 15, 2016.

 

d)     Stays conducted in the summer semester of the academic year of 2015/2016

June 10, 2016.

The condition for the approval of application submitted in an additional term is compliance with the conditions stipulated in Regulations as well as a pre-requisite that a student performs the state examination the same year he/she conducts a study stay. in the same semester as held a study visit, made the state exam. The amount of provided scholarship in additional term will always be derived from the amounts stipulated in the previous regular terms (ie. the value of the study month will remain the same and the financial demandingness of the country where a student undertook his/her stay will be taken into account in compliance with article 3 para 2 of Regulations).

4.       The awarding of scholarships is decided on the basis of an individual assessment of the application submitted in writing by a student along with a written statement by the guarantor of the corresponding study program and document from International Office confirming conduct and length of stay.

5.       In compliance with article 3, para 2, letter c of Regulations, a student who has encountered a difficult social or life situation, can apply for the scholarship before leaving abroad. For such circumstances I hereby stipulate the conditions as follows: term February 15, 2016 (for stays in the summer semester 2015/2016),  or October 3, 2016 (for stays in the winter semester 2016/2017) for filing a written application containing the statement by the guarantor of the corresponding study program and document from International Office confirming conduct and length of stay, documents about all the financial resources the student has obtained to cover the costs related to the study abroad and a proof of difficult social and life situation of the student (confirmation of matching the income to subsistence level, confirmation of receipt of child allowance, or card of ZTP/severe health disability holder).

 

This measure comes into effect on 6 January, 2016 and annuls measures no. 24/2015.
