I. Aim of the Provision

 

  1. The provision herein is issued following the Scholarship Regulations of Charles University hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations") and the Rules for Awarding Scholarships at FSV UK (hereinafter referred to as the "Rules").

 

II. The amount of scholarships for outstanding study results 

  1. In accordance with the provisions of Article 4 para 3, 4 of the Regulations and Article 2 of the Rules, I hereby stipulate the minimum amount of the scholarship for the outstanding study results at 15,000 CZK and the maximum amount of this scholarship at 23,000 CZK.
  2. The scholarship referred to in the preceding paragraph shall be payable retrospectively, on a one-off basis in November for the preceding academic year; 10% of the best-achieving full-time students are entitled to the scholarship in accordance with the Regulations and the Rules. The detailed rules for calculating the grade-point average (GPA) and other conditions for awarding this scholarship are set out in Article 2 of the Rules.
  3. A scholarship for outstanding study results is paid automatically, thus there is no need to apply for it.

 

III. Scholarship under Article 9 of the Regulations and Article 5 of the Rules (Scholarship under Special Consideration) 

  1. Pursuant to Article 9 of the Regulations as amended and Article 5 of the Rules, a special purpose scholarship may be awarded for participating in the teaching activities at FSV UK to the students enrolled in doctoral and follow-up Master's degree programs.
  2. The application shall be submitted through the SIS workplace where the FSV student is involved in pedagogical activities.
  3. The director of the institute or the head of the department where the applicant carries out his/her teaching activity may become a petitioner for the scholarship for teaching activities.
  4. A member of the study department staff shall check the formal requirements of the application as well as the conditions for awarding the scholarship under the Regulations. A corresponding Vice-Dean shall assess the required amount.
  5. Each institution may under this part of the provision annually draw from the scholarship fund for the purpose of scholarships an amount determined when allocating the budget.
  6. For scholarships for an active participation in the creative activities of the faculty workplaces (Article 5 para 1 letter b) of the Rules) and scholarships for an active participation in the international cooperation between the faculty workplaces or the faculty as a whole (Article 5 para 1 letter c) of the Rules), paragraphs 2 to 5 of this Article shall apply comparably.
  7. Scholarships for outstanding sports results and representation of university at academic international competitions (Article 5 para 1 letter d), e) of the Rules) are awarded by the Dean at the student's request. Scholarships for exemplary civic action are awarded by the Dean at the instigation of any member of the academic community of Charles University.

 

IV. Doctoral scholarship under Article 12 of the Regulations and Article 7 of the Rules

  1. I hereby stipulate the amount of doctoral scholarship for students in the first year of full-time studies at CZK 7,000 per month.
  2. I hereby stipulate the amount of doctoral scholarship for students in the second, third and fourth year of full-time studies at 7,600 CZK per month.

 

V. Cancellation of previous provision

  • This provision cancels the Dean's Provision no. 20/2013 regulating the amount of scholarships for outstanding study results and special purpose scholarships.

 

VI. Efficiency period

This provision will become effective on the first day of the academic year of 2017/2018, i.e. 1 October 2017.
