Ensuring the possibility to continue studying the same or similar study program

To implement the Rector’s Measure no. 12/2019 (on Ensuring the possibility to continue studying the same or similar study program), I hereby issue the following Dean’s Measure:

Article 1 - Subject Matter

This measure governs organizational issues ensuring the possibility to continue studying the same or similar study program at the faculty in the event of termination of accreditation of doctoral degree programs:

1. Economic Theory (study discipline of Economics),
2. Area Studies (study discipline of Area Studies),
3. Historical Sciences (study discipline of Modern History),
4. Political Science (study disciplines of Political Science and International Relations),
5. Sociology (study disciplines of Sociology and Public and Social Policy),
6. Economics and Econometrics (study disciplines of Economics and Econometrics).

Article 2 - Successor Study Program

1. The Board for Internal Evaluation of Charles University stipulated in its resolution of 16 July 2018, ref. no. UKRUK/92500/2018-45 that the study program of Economics and Finance (hereinafter referred to as “successor study program”) in full-time and combined form of study with Czech and English as the languages of instruction is similar in its content to the study program of Economic Theory, study discipline of Economics.
2. The Board for Internal Evaluation of Charles University stipulated in its resolution of 21 September 2018, ref. no. UKRUK/126053/2018-34 that the study program of Area Studies (hereinafter referred to as “successor study program”) in full-time and combined form of study with Czech as the language of instruction is similar in its content to the study program of Area Studies, study discipline of Area Studies.
3. The Board for Internal Evaluation of Charles University stipulated in its resolution of 21 September 2018, ref. no. UKRUK/126053/2018-35  that the study program of Modern History (hereinafter referred to as “successor study program”) in full-time and combined form of study with Czech as the language of instruction is similar in its content to the study program of Historical Sciences, study discipline of Modern History.
4. The Board for Internal Evaluation of Charles University stipulated in its resolution of 31 October 2018, ref. no. UKRUK/151242/2018-19 that the study program of Political Science (hereinafter referred to as “successor study program”) in full-time and combined form of study with Czech and English as the languages of instruction is similar in its content to the study program of Political Science, study discipline of Political Science.
5. The Board for Internal Evaluation of Charles University stipulated in its resolution of 6 June 2018, ref. no. UKRUK/ 65062/2018-9  that the study program of International Relations (hereinafter referred to as “successor study program”) in full-time and combined form of study with Czech and English as the languages of instruction is similar in its content to the study program of Political Science, study discipline of International Relations.
6. The Board for Internal Evaluation of Charles University stipulated in its resolution of 31 October 2018, ref. no. UKRUK/151242/2018-26 that the study program of Sociology (hereinafter referred to as “successor study program”) in full-time and combined form of study with Czech and English as the languages of instruction is similar in its content to the study program of Sociology, study discipline of Sociology.
7. The Board for Internal Evaluation of Charles University stipulated in its resolution of 31 October 2018, ref. no. UKRUK/151242/2018-27 that the study program of Public and Social Policy (hereinafter referred to as “successor study program”) in full-time and combined form of study with Czech and English as the languages of instruction is similar in its content to the study program of Sociology, study discipline of Public and Social Policy.
8. The Board for Internal Evaluation of Charles University stipulated in its resolution of 31 October 2018, ref. no. UKRUK/151242/2018-25 that the study program of Economics and Econometrics (hereinafter referred to as “successor study program”) in full-time and combined form of study with Czech and English as the languages of instruction is similar in its content to the study program of Economics and Econometrics, study discipline of Economics and Econometrics.

Article 3 - Date of Inclusion in the Study Plan for Completing the Studies

Students in the academic year of 2019/2020 in the study programs of Economic Theory, Area Studies, Historical Sciences, Political Science, Sociology, Economics and Econometrics and persons whose study in these study programs has been interrupted, will be included as of 1 November 2019 in the successor study program and the Subject Board will assess whether their individual study plan needs to be updated.
