Opletalova library is now accessible to FSV UK students even when the librarian is not there. Just come between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. and scan your student card to open it. In the library and associated study room, you will find study spaces, a calm and inspiring environment, as well as a self-service copier in MyQ mode.

Hana Kubátová works as a researcher and teacher at the Institute of Political Studies. During her academic career, she often moved and still moves between several disciplines – and she considers this to be the key to successful research. We are pleased to welcome Dr Ingrid Anderson, Fulbright Scholar from Boston University, who will be a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University and at the Herzl Centre of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University. She is researching early Prague Zionism and its involvement in Czech nationalism of the same period.

At its meeting on 8 October 2024, the FSV UK Academic Senate announced elections to the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University for the term of office 2025–2027. It also announced the date of elections to the Academic Senate of Charles University for the term of office 2025-2028. Both elections will take place electronically from November 26 to November 28, 2024.
