Exchange Experience

The international mobility of FSV UK holds a great reputation among our students and staff.

In recent years, our faculty has been the number one choice from the entire Charles University for most of the foreign students taking part in the ERASMUS + programme here. At the same time, we are among the best in the number of outgoing student mobilities. Our faculty has concluded almost 400 bilateral agreements for study stays, 300 agreements for academic mobility and over 100 agreements for practical placements. The most important partners include the Universite Pantheon-Sorbonne, Università Di Bologna, Universite Catholique De Louvain, University of Copenhagen, University of Vienna, University of Antwerp, University of Konstanz, University of Helsinki, University of York, University of Mannheim, Trinity College Dublin, University of Amsterdam, University of Warwick, Uppsala University, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Università commerciale Luigi Bocconi, Universitat De Barcelona, ​​Universite Libre De Bruxelles, Brunel University, University of Liverpool, University of Nottingham, University of Reading, De Montfort University or Dublin City University.

The ERASMUS + international credit mobility programme supports exchanges of students and academics also in countries outside Europe. In recent years, there has been an exchange of students and academics from University of Tirana, National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, New Economics School Moscow, Tel Aviv University and University of Sarajevo and other.

In addition, the faculty has concluded many inter-faculty agreements with universities all over the World such as the Australian National University, the University of Richmond (USA), the City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University, the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya in Israel, Sogang University in Korea, the New Economic School in Russia, International University of Japan or University of Calgary in Canada.

Further, long-term study stays under inter-university agreements are possible at universities in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Canada, Mexico, Japan, the United States, the Republic of Korea and others.

  • Call for applications for the POINT programme is open

    For the autumn 2023 round of the POINT program, applications for support can be submitted from November 1 to November 30, 2023. Applications can be submitted only online via systém interních soutěží UK. It is possible to apply within two categories: short-term student mobility and organization of summer schools by faculties.

  • Call for exchanges through IU/IF agreements in WS 2024/25

    The call for exchanges through interfaculty and interuniversity agreements in WS 2024/25 will be open between 7-31 October 2023.

  • Erasmus Student Network Meet-up

    Are you a Charles University student who has recently returned from an exciting Erasmus+ adventure abroad, or an international Erasmus+ student arriving in Czechia and studying at Charles University? Join a meeting of connection and community building at the Erasmus Student Network Meet-up on 12 October 2023 at 4:30 p.m. in Kampus Hybernská.

  • Erasmus Days 12 October 2023

    Come celebrate Erasmus Day with us and learn more about the options of study and research stays abroad! You can look forward to lectures and sharing experiences with students who have already successfully traveled abroad with us. ​​​​​​​The event will take place on 12 October 2023 from 9 am to 4 pm in the Jinonice Campus.

  • Autumn round of Mobility Fund applications opens on 18 September

    The International Office announces the autumn round of applications for a grant from the Charles University Mobility Fund. In the autumn round, you can apply for mobilities which should take place approximately from January to June. The application will be open from 18 September 2023 until 17 October 2023, 4 p.m. 

  • Month-long scholarships stays for PhD students and academics at Universität Hamburg 2023

    Universität Hambrug offers several month-long scholarships stays for PhD students and academics within the framework of inter-university cooperation: 4 scholarships for PhD students and 4 for academics. The application deadline is 14 September 2023.
