  • Invitation to the garden party on the occasion of the celebration of FSV UK's 35th anniversary

    We cordially invite you to a garden party on the occasion of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the founding of the FSV UK. The event will take place in the Grébovka Pavillion on June 5, 2025 from 4 pm.
  • Science at FSV UK: Lenka Vochocová about her research on the role of gender in Czech journalism and the spread of disinformation

    Lenka Vochocová from the Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism was inspired for her research topics, among other things, by working in the media and non-profit sector. Read about her research on the role of gender in Czech journalism, online political participation and the spread of disinformation in the digital environment.
  • Golden Courses for Winter Semester 2024/2025

    On Tuesday, 15 April 2025, during the Academic Senate FSV UK meeting, the Golden Courses for the best courses of the Winter Semester 2024/2025 according to the student evaluation were awarded to the lecturers. The award is accompanied by financial reward.  
  • May in Motion staff challenge

    The Well-being Working Group and the Sustainability Working Group have prepared the May in Motion challenge for all FSV UK employees. Both individuals and teams of faculty employees can participate in the challenge. You can compete from 1 to 31 May 2025 in up to four categories – walking, running, swimming and cycling.
  • 35 Years of Science at FSV UK exhibition

    We cordially invite you to the exhibition 35 Years of Science at FSV UK, which will be held on the occasion of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. The exhibition will briefly present not only the history of our faculty and its institutes, but also, above all, scientific achievements and significant milestones in research at FSV UK. The exhibition will be open from Thursday, April 24, 2025, in foyer C of the Jinonice Campus.
  • Lecture by Dr. phil. Margarete Klein

    IMS FSV UK cordially invites you to a lecture and discussion with Dr. phil. Margarete Klein titled: Changes in Russia’s military posture and nuclear doctrine during the war against Ukraine and German Zeitenwende. The lecture takes place on 28 April 2025 at 12:30 in room B330 in the Jinonice Campus.
