ETUR – Sustainability Weeks at FSV UK
As part of the European Sustainable Development Week (ETUR), we are dedicating the turn of September and October to topics related to caring for our environment and ourselves. You can look forward to SWAP, sustainable brefakfast, horticultural therapy and herbal aromatherapy, and also an excursion to a waste sorting plant. -
Erasmus Days at FSV UK: Off to the World
Where can you go during your studies at FSV UK? What opportunities do Erasmus+ and other programs offer? And what is studying abroad like from the perspective of students, academics and coordinators? Come get inspired at Erasmus Days at FSV UK, taking place on 15 October from 9:00 to 16:00 in the foyer A of the FSV UK Jinonice Campus. -
Metascience at FSV UK: Workshops with world experts Gilad Feldman and František Bartoš
On Tuesday, 29 September, two workshops focused on metascience and open science practices will take place at FSV UK (Voršilská 1, room 508). Starting at 9:30, Gilad Feldman (University of Innsbruck) will demonstrate how AI tools and automation can be used to check and improve scientific research. Starting at 13:30, František Bartoš (University of Amsterdam) will lead a practical workshop on publication bias adjusted meta-analysis in JASP. The workshops are free of charge, will be held in English, and are open to students and colleagues from all social science disciplines. Places are limited. -
A call for Charles University Grant Agency proposals
The Charles University Grant Agency (GAUK) has announced a call for 2027. Projects for 1-3 years can be submitted by master's and doctoral students in the standard period of study. The faculty deadline for proposal submission is 2 November 2026. -
Announcement of the FSV UK Academic Senate elections for the 2027–2029 term
At its meeting on September 15, 2026, AS FSV UK announced—pursuant to Article 1 of the AS FSV UK Election Rules—that electronic elections for the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, for the 2027–2029 term would be held from November 24 to 26, 2026. AS FSV UK has set the period for submitting nominations for candidates to AS FSV UK from 9:00 a.m. on October 7, 2026, through 5:00 p.m. on November 13, 2026. -
