If you are considering a period of study abroad and have not chosen any of the foreign universities or other educational institutions involved in the established Charles University mobility programmes, you can try a number of other schemes: this page contains a regularly updated list of international offers. The stays listed below are organized by foreign universities or research institutions, educational foundations, institutions with links to foreign embassies, non-profit NGOs etc. Some of the stays are partly or wholly funded by the host institution; in other cases, however, the applicants are expected to cover the cost themselves.

Fulbright scholarships for AY 27/28 open
The Fulbright Commission has announced another cycle of scholarships for the academic year 2027/28. Detailed information on individual scholarships and webinars at https://fulbright.gov.cz/stipendia/zakladni-informace/.
The Fulbright Commission also draws attention to short-term (days to weeks) and long-term (1-2 semesters) opportunities for hosting American experts. Information can be found on the website here.
Information webinars will be held for all programs:
- April 16, 3 p.m.: Program for scientists and lecturers, including professional experts
- April 21, 3 p.m.: Student scholarships for study and research stays
- April 23, 3 p.m.: Fulbright-Masaryk program for scientists and doctoral students
- May 13, 3 p.m.: Hosting American scholars at Czech universities

National Taipei University: Hope Scholarship for Students from Ukraine and Central and Eastern Europe
National Taipei University (NTPU) is offering the Hope Scholarship for Students from Ukraine and Central and Eastern Europe.

DAAD - Konrad Zuse Schools of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence
The research and training programme focuses on the mathematical and algorithmic foundations of reliable AI along with domain knowledge in 3 core application domains, for which reliable AI methods are most urgently needed: medicine and healthcare, robotics & interacting systems, and algorithmic decision-making. relAI scholarships are intended to support outstanding students who are studying AI related subjects so they are able to focus on their studies. relAI offers a cross-sectional training for successful education in AI including scientific knowledge, professional development courses and industrial exposure, providing a coherent, yet flexible and personalised training. The scholarship is mainly awarded based on academic excellence, but also aims to improve internationalisation and diversity in AI related teaching programmes.
Requirements: Master´s students pursuing studies in AI and related subjects. Highly qualified students with excellent results.
Duration: 24 months
Scholarship: 934 EUR/month

EDUFI Fellowship for foreign doctoral researchers in Finland
The EDUFI Fellowship is intended particularly for starting work on a doctoral research project in Finland. It is open to all Finnish universities and fields of study. The aim of the EDUFI Fellowship is to help make Finnish research and teaching more international and to build networks between Finnish and foreign universities.
Application deadline: Rolling deadline. You should apply for the grant five months before the start of the fellowship.
Duration of the fellowship: 3–12 months. For those working on a doctoral research project at a foreign university, the fellowship may be awarded for the duration of a visit lasting 3–6 months.
Size of grant: EUR 1,900 per month

The Language Teaching Centre (SLI) under the University of Freiburg offers short-term winter and summer German language courses. The 2026 courses take place in March (registration open here), and August and September.

Europe under Pressure: EU Governance and the Politics of Uncertainty

The Europaeum would like to invite to Brussels up to 20 students currently enrolled on master’s or PhD courses at a Europaeum member university. Successful candidates will be provided with accommodation free of charge and will be reimbursed reasonable travel expenses within Europe.
Applications should include the Europaeum application form, a brief CV, a statement of purpose (up to 500 words), and a reference letter from their supervisor or academic advisor all sent to applications@europaeum.org.
Only students from Europaeum member universities are eligible to apply.

Space Governance: The Fragile Frontier
University of Helsinki | 19 – 20 October 2026
This Europaeum Seminar will bring master’s and doctoral researchers at Europaeum member universities together in Helsinki to examine the governance of space from an explicitly interdisciplinary perspective. Participants may come from a natural or applied sciences, law, philosophy, or a social science background. They will explore the intersecting challenges of space physics, international law, and political economy that together define humanity’s relationship with outer space.
