FSV UK will participate in the new Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s in European Environmental Economics and Policy (M3EP). The programme is a collaborative consortium consisting of five 4EU+ universities. Call for student applications will open on 15 November 2024.

We would like to provide you with information regarding the operation of the Hollar building, which is undergoing modernization of selected areas from June 2024. As of Monday, September 30, 2024, the rear tract of the building and the back staircase will be accessible again. Partial construction work will continue to take place in several rooms. For this reason, several operating restrictions will remain in the building:

The faculty’s operations remain unaffected. Students directly affected by the flood situation will be handled on an individual basis. We continue to monitor, evaluate, and take all necessary actions as the situation evolves.

Michal Smetana from the Institute of International Studies has been awarded a grant from the European Research Council (ERC) of more than one million euros for his MICROCODE project, which will study the stability of military alliances. "For FSV UK, winning the ERC Starting Grant is a confirmation of the ever-increasing quality of its research in a challenging international competition," emphasized Tomáš Karásek, FSV UK Dean.

We invite you to the new run of our summer project Yoga at FSV UK! Due to the ongoing reconstruction of the Hollar building, this year's event will take place at the Jinonice Campus. The lessons are free and intended for FSV UK students, graduates, employees and U3V students. Suitable for beginners and advanced students of all ages. Lessons take place on 21 and 28 August and 4 and 12 September.

Applicants from developing countries may apply for a Czech Government Scholarship - Developing Countries that fully covers tuition fees of selected Master’s study programs and provides subsidies for health insurance and living expenses in Czechia. For studies beginning in the academic year 2025/26, the deadline for application is 30 September 2024.
