The Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University is expanding its international portfolio with the launch of three new English-taught degree programs starting in the academic year 2026/27. The new programs — MA in Transnational History (TNH), MA in Game Studies (GAME), and BA in Sustainability in Marketing and Media Communication (SUMAC) — highlight the faculty’s growing commitment to global education, interdisciplinarity, and innovation.

The FSV UK Academic Senate announced at its meeting on May 20, 2025 the election of a candidate for the position of Dean for the period 2026-2030. The academic community proposed one candidate for this position within the regular deadline for submitting candidacies – the current FSV UK Dean, Tomáš Karásek. Applicants from developing countries may apply for a Czech Government Scholarship - Developing Countries that fully covers tuition fees of selected Master’s study programs and provides subsidies for health insurance and living expenses in Czechia. For studies beginning in the academic year 2026/2027, the application deadline is September 30, 2025.
