Operational restrictions of the Hollar building in the winter semester 2024/2025

We would like to provide you with information regarding the operation of the Hollar building, which is undergoing modernization of selected areas from June 2024.

As of Monday, September 30, 2024, a number of measures that temporarily regulated operations in the building will be cancelled:

• The rear tract of the building and the back staircase will be accessible again.
• Access to the offices of the International Office for both exchange and degree students will be restored. The office hours will return to normal from this date.

Partial construction work will continue to take place in several rooms and areas of the library. For this reason, several operating restrictions will remain in the building:

• The rear entrance from Divadelní Street remains temporarily closed. Entry to the building will be possible only through the main entrance from Smetanovo nábřeží.
• The rear part of the atrium also remains inaccessible. Access to the front part of the atrium will only be possible through the door near the front staircase. For this reason, it will not be possible to park a bicycle in the Hollar building.
• Due to the closure of the rear part of the atrium, classroom H020 will only be accessible via the rear staircase from the 1st floor.
• The Hollar Library will continue to be suspended. Its collection remains accessible in the Jinonice library. Journalism and other related fields can be found on the fourth floor.
• The Na Hollaru café also remains closed.
• In the coming months, workers from the construction company will occasionally move through the corridors of the building. It will not disrupt normal operations.
