Our partner institution, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, is opening applications for its Summer Language Course. The Faculty of Social Sciences will nominate one student to participate. The selected student will receive a scholarship directly from the partner university. Please upload all the required documents to the online application system by March 4, 2026.

Call for the Future Leaders of Europe: the Europaeum Scholars’ Programme by Europaeum is open. This is a two-year policy and leadership course for the most talented, energetic and committed doctoral candidates from within the Europaeum network. Entry is via open competition for around 30 places every other year. The application deadline is 23.59 GMT or 00.59 CET on Sunday, 15 March 2026.

A new call for applications for the 4EU+ Cotutelle program in collaboration with Sorbonne University has been announced, allowing doctoral students to have their dissertations under the joint supervision of two universities and thus obtain a double doctorate in cooperation with the partner universities of the 4EU+ Alliance. The deadline for submitting applications at Sorbonne University is February 20, 2026.

From November 2025 to January 2026, our faculty held the employee challenge Read with FSV UK. During this time, our employees had the opportunity to read books across ten categories that are thematically related to our faculty and its working groups. A total of 35 employees participated in the Read with FSV UK challenge. Congratulations to everyone who has managed to complete the challenge!
