  • Statement of the Dean of FSV UK regarding the disruption of the lecture by prof. Adam Fagan

    "FSV UK systematically and over a long period supports the presence of foreign academics and students. Its management is convinced that the willingness of foreign lecturers to share their expertise at FSV UK and thereby expand the knowledge horizon of our academic community is a key condition for the successful development of the faculty. As a Dean, I have to condemn all the more strongly the disruption of the lecture of prof. Fagan," says Tomáš Karásek.
  • Golden Courses for the best courses of the Summer Semester 2023/24

    Golden Courses for the best courses of the Summer Semester 2023/2024 according to the student evaluation were awarded. Congratulations to all recipients! On Tuesday, 5 November 2024, during the Academic Senate FSV UK meeting, the Golden Courses were awarded to the lecturers. The award is accompanied by financial reward.  
  • HR Award: Open Science

    As part of the HR Award project, Charles University established the Open Science Support Centre at Charles University’s Central Library. The Centre offers expertise and support in the area of research data management, open publishing of research results, and in the use of licenses as a part of these processes. Find out more about the Open Science at CU.
  • Our academics are part of a €3 million Horizon Europe grant to study democratic resilience using digital twins

    In a new transdisciplinary project funded by a €3 million Horizon Europe grant, Erasmus University’s School of Social and Behavioural Sciences researchers will lead a groundbreaking effort to explore how democracies decline and how computational research tools can help strengthen democratic resilience. Our Institute of International Studies and its two research centers (Peace Research Center Prague & Centre for Digital Humanities Integration) are part of the international consortium.
  • Collection for the support of war veterans in the FSV UK library

    The Memory of Nations has been organizing a public fundraiser in support of war veterans and other freedom fighters for the tenth year. Poppy flowers, which are a symbol of respect for these heroes, will be available throughout the month at the Jinonice library at the loan desk on the 1st floor.
  • Call for applications for the POINT programme is open

    For the autumn 2024 round of the POINT program, applications for support can be submitted from November 1, 2024, 6 A.M. to November 30, 2024, 4 P.M. After the deadline the applications will not be accepted. In the autumn call it is possible to apply for financial support for activities which will take place throughout the following calendar year.
