Introduction of a candidate for the candidate for the position of CU Rector

At its meeting on April 25, 2025, the Academic Senate of Charles University announced the election of the candidate for the position of Rector of Charles University for the period 2026–2030.

At the meeting of the FSV UK Academic Senate on 16 September 2025, Prof. Ladislav Krištoufek, a graduate of the Institute of Economic Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University, will introduce himself as a candidate for the candidate for the position of Rector of Charles University. He currently serves as Vice-Rector for Research of Charles University and a member of the Research, Development and Innovation Council. Between 2018 and 2022, he held the position of Vice-Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University.

The candidate's introduction to the FSV UK senators will take place on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, at 5 p.m. in the Hollar building, meeting room H212. The introduction and subsequent discussion will be available to watch online at this link.

The election of the candidate for the position of rector will take place on Friday, 31 October 2025, at the meeting of the Academic Senate of Charles University.
