FSV UK project succeeded in TACR competition

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TACR) has published the results of the fifth public competition of the Program for the Support of Applied Research and Innovation SIGMA – sub-goal 5. Within the research topic Impact of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning on Society, a project in which our faculty is the main applicant was successful:

  • Nikola Hynek, Vít Střítecký, Petr Špelda (IPS) and Václav Moravec (CEMES) - TQ12000040 CZDEMOS4AI: A Beneficial Multi-Agent AI Avatar in a Small Democratic Society

In addition to the FSV UK, the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics and the 1st Faculty of Medicine are involved in the project on behalf of Charles University. Several external partners also participate in the project - IPSOS; Institute of State and Law of the Czech Academy of Sciences; prg.ai, z. s.; MAMA AI Coolma; Czech News Agency; Masaryk University; PHYSTER TECHNOLOGY. The project implementation period is from September 2024 to December 2029.

As part of the SIGMA program, only one project could be submitted to each research topic per CU. The team of Prof. Hynek was commissioned by the management of the CU.
