Research

FSV UK fully supports the socio-scientific research. The Faculty integrates and co-ordinates the research plan it has acquired with several departments of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. Within this framework, FSV UK has made a commitment to provide the professional public with a critical and scientifically-based reflection on the development of Czech society from a long-term perspective.

Life at Faculty

Student life is not only studying at a library or your dorm and attending lectures and seminars! There is a whole bunch of stuff students do together in their free time - social, cultural, political or sport events, trips, parties...and much more! There is nothing easier than just join and enjoy the life at FSV UK!

The Expert Group for Ukraine (ESU) has been newly established at the Faculty of Social Sciences. It is an interdisciplinary policy group consisting of experts and academics from the FSV UK. They will regularly offer expert and research-based contributions to ongoing debates in the society in the form of expert articles (so-called policy briefs).

The topics of individual policy briefs will cover a wide range of the FSV UK expertise (economics, sociology, international relations, political science, territorial studies, modern history, media).

At the press conference on 3 May 2022, Dr. Marie Jelínková from the FSV UK Department of Public and Social Policy presented the first policy brief on Migration and Crime: Let's Not Underestimate Crimes against Refugees.
