Erasmus+ short-term PhD mobility

Through the Erasmus+ program, doctoral students can undertake short-term physical mobility for the purpose of studying or doing an internship abroad. It is also possible to go on mobility trips during the summer months.

The shortest possible trip is 5 days, the longest is 30 days. It is not possible to go to a conference. Travel expenses are also included in the scholarship. The scholarship must be applied for at least one month before the planned trip.

You can find all the information here. Details on how to apply (which documents to send and where) can be found in this document.

Doctoral student Kristýna Kopřivová shared her mobility experiences with us: "This year I had the chance to go to Cyprus through Erasmus + short-term PhD mobility. I went during the period when my PhD was slowly coming to an end. The host institutions organized presentations of my work and I had a lot of space to write my dissertation. At first glance, it could be more of an escape and "hiding" somewhere to gain concentration. However, I was surprised by the other dimension of such a trip. Writing a dissertation is very lonely. And talking about your work in a different context, especially in an environment that is not a priori negative, is very beneficial. Above all, it is motivating, you get new ideas and perspectives on how to relate to the topic. Last but not least, new, valuable contacts that are not utilitarian, but are a pure connection between creators and researchers, which is no less important for the work process and further direction."
