Blended Intensive Programme

Blended Intensive Programme

Short-term intensive programmes are a new feature of the Erasmus+ programme that allows the promotion and implementation of international mobility in a combination of physical and virtual activities. The aim is to foster international connections between higher education institutions to collectively develop programmes for groups of students, academics or administrative staff to be trained, study, and learn using innovative approaches and digital tools.

PLANNING YOUR MOBILITY

Below you will find information useful for planning your mobility.
Always choose from the list of partner universities, which can be found HERE.

  • SEARCHING FOR BIP

    Searching for appropriate BIPs:

It is necessary to check with the IO whether there is a valid Erasmus+ Interinstitutional Agreement between our faculty and the host institution.

Please send your request to participate in the BIP at least two months before the start of the specific BIP.

Students wanting to take part in BIP need to message the coordinator of the institute they study at with the following documents and information about the BIP:

    • CV
    • Motivation Letter
    • Transcript of Records
    • General information about the Blended Intensive Programme

The list of the coordinators can be found below. The coordinators then decide on the suitability of the BIP and whether students can participate.

  • ORGANIZATION OF BIP

Blended Intensive Programme can also be organised by the Faculty of Social Sciences and its parts.

The most important information on HOW TO ORGANIZE BIP can be found HERE.

The current deadline for submitting proposals as organizer is May 15. The results will then be announced by the end of May.

For more information, we recommend visiting the BIPs rectorial website.

An information leaflet on the organisation of the BIPs can be found HERE.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the International Office.

    Proof of travel costs:

Acceptable means of transport to/from the host foreign institution are: train, bus, bicycle or car sharing.

In the case of the 'car-sharing' option, it must be a shared journey. In this sense, carpooling does not include the case where someone drives you to the mobility location and returns without you (family, friends). You must provide an original affidavit with the signatures of all the persons (address + date of birth) who shared the transport and proof that the journey actually took place (petrol receipt, toll receipts, etc. for both journeys). In the case of travel by bicycle, the original affidavit of the journey made is required.

The allowance cannot be processed during and after the return from mobility.

After returning from mobility, send copies of tickets and other documents to erasmus.outgoing@ruk.cuni.cz. Ecological way of travel is proven by presenting the following documents:

Travel documents for travel to and from your destination (tickets, invoices, fuel receipts…)

    In the case of carpooling:

Proof that the trip actually took place (fuel receipts, motorway tolls, etc.)

Original of a statutory declaration with signatures of everyone who shared the vehicle.

In case of non-compliance, the allowance will be refunded.

*Please note: Confirmation of Erasmus period cannot be provided, e.g. for the period 1.3.2024 - 30.3.2024, together with a return ticket dated 24.3.2024 showing that the physical mobility ended earlier.

  • TRAVELLING TO THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND

Entry rules for the UK for short-term stays: compulsory registration with the ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) system, effective from April 2025.

An ETA costs 20 GBP and allows multiple entries to the UK for a period of 6 months within a 2-year period or until your passport expires (whichever comes first).

Further information can be found here.

MOBILITY PROCESS

Below you can find all the important information about the mobility process.
Students are obliged to familiarise themselves with the terms and conditions of the Erasmus+ programme and to comply with them.
We strongly recommend that you arrange everything in advance. The Erasmus+ Agreement must be signed before the start of the mobility (minimum 1 day before)!

  • BEFORE DEPARTURE

Before departure, students must have a Learning Agreement (signed by all three parties).

Once the Learning Agreement has been sent to IO (outgoing@fsv.cuni.cz), students will be moved into the final step of the administration.

After the email invitation by the European Office, students must then sign the Erasmus+ Agreement in order to receive the scholarship for the BIP. The Erasmus+ Agreement MUST be signed before the start of the physical mobility of the Blended Intensive Programme (minimum 1 day before).

  • AFTER YOUR RETURN

After you return, the students must provide us and the European Office with the Confirmation of Erasmus Period for Charles University participants leaving for BIP in Partner Country

Signature of the Confirmation of Erasmus+ Period: must be signed on the last day of mobility (the date of signature must be the same as the end date of mobility stated on the Confirmation)
