FSV UK offers some of the highest quality English language Bachelor's, Master's and PhD degree programmes in Central and Eastern Europe in all fields of social sciences, giving students an opportunity to obtain their degree from one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious universities in the world.

Research

FSV UK fully supports the socio-scientific research. The Faculty integrates and co-ordinates the research plan it has acquired with several departments of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. Within this framework, FSV UK has made a commitment to provide the professional public with a critical and scientifically-based reflection on the development of Czech society from a long-term perspective.

Life at Faculty

Student life is not only studying at a library or your dorm and attending lectures and seminars! There is a whole bunch of stuff students do together in their free time - social, cultural, political or sport events, trips, parties...and much more! There is nothing easier than just join and enjoy the life at FSV UK!

The Academic Year commences on 1st October 2024 and finishes on 30th September 2025. Teaching in the Academic Year 2024/2025 begins on 30 September 2024.

Registration for new and continuing degree-seeking students takes place before the beginning of the academic year. Degree-seeking students will be allowed to register for their studies only once a year, prior to the start of the Winter Semester. Special arrangements will be made for visiting students who are scheduled to arrive halfway through the year, enabling them to register at the start of the Summer Semester. This option is not available for degree-seeking students.

Registration for individual classes is open twice per year, at the start of the relevant semester. Students will be allowed to register for classes solely through the on-line Student Information System (SIS) and during the period prescribed in this calendar. Registration for classes during the prescribed period is a prerequisite for the successful completion of the class!
