FSV UK has once again prepared a faculty charity Christmas event for its employees. This year it will be focused on helping vulnerable seniors who are clients of the organization Život 90. If you have the opportunity and desire to participate in this charity event, you can do so until Wednesday 18 December 2024.

On the occasion of the Struggle for Freedom and Democracy Day, Prime Minister Petr Fiala awarded the Karel Kramář medal to Irena Kalhousová, an expert at the Institute of Political Studies FSV UK and director of the Herzl Center for Israel Studies. She received the award for her outstanding contribution to the public debate on Middle East issues. This year, this award went to a total of 17 personalities.

On the occasion of the ceremonial meeting of the FSV UK Scientific Council, the annual presentation of commemorative medals for services to the development of the faculty and for long-term work for the faculty took place. FSV UK Dean Tomáš Karásek also presented awards to the authors of the works selected for Josef Vavroušek Award 2024.

The Supply Chain Resilience Center (SCRC) hosted a closed policy seminar under the auspices of Markéta Pekarová Adamová, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, on November 11, 2024. The event held at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, focused on resilience of supply chains and disinformation tactics and their influence on democratic elections.
