Online discussions have led to the creation of a network of 35 researchers from 27 countries around the world within a few months. The GRASP initiative, co-founded by Petr Witz from the Institute of Sociological Studies FSV UK, connects experts working on large projects and their sustainability. An important impetus for the further development of the network was its first joint meeting, which was made possible by the new faculty program Brainstorm.

The successful applicant is German economist Jakob Miethe, currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU). Thanks to the Primus grant, he will join the Institute of Economic Studies (IES) at FSV UK, where he will lead the project International Ownership Structures. Many congratulations!

From 4 September to 2 October 2026, the access to Hollar Student Zone will be restricted. The back room will be completely inaccessible during this period. The front rooms will be used for student registration at certain times, so there will be increased movement and noise. Thank you for your understanding.

Applicants from developing countries may apply for a Czech Government Scholarship - Developing Countries that fully covers tuition fees of selected Master’s study programs and provides subsidies for health insurance and living expenses in Czechia. For studies beginning in the academic year 2027/2028, the application deadline is September 30, 2026.
