Valentyn Shkriba, a FSV UK student, received the Rector’s Extraordinary Prize

Valentyn Shkriba, a student of the Master's program Security Studies, volunteered to help with the agenda of recruiting Ukrainian students to the freemover programme after the outbreak of war in Ukraine. He helped with checking documents in Ukrainian and provided psychological support to new students in the first days. He also helped as an auxiliary interpreter at mass meetings.

We thank Valentyn very much for his willingness and help. We heartily congratulate him on winning the prize.

The Rector’s Extraordinary Prize is awarded to students for a meritorious deed or activity performed during their studies that demonstrates extraordinary civic bravery or selflessness; for achieving extraordinary results during studies in the field of science and research; or for an exceptionally high award in running cultural or artistic activities or for great sporting results in international competitions.
