FSV co-hosting international conference
Faculty of Social Sciences, together with Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes is co-hosting a conference Reshaping the Nation: Collective Identities and Post-War Violence in Europe 1944–48. The event will take place on 16th and 17th May 2019 at Charles University historical building of Carolinum.
The organizers, together with panelists, aim to analyze the legitimizing function of nationalism and its relationship to violence at the end of World War II., and to rebuilding of post-war societies. Mr. Norman Naimark, the historian from Stanford University, will be the main speaker at the conference.
