REGISTRATION AT THE FOREIGN POLICE

All students staying in Prague for a period longer than 90 days are legally obliged to register at the Foreign Police Office upon their arrival.

Students who live in one of the Charles University dormitories will be registered automatically by the Accommodation Office, so they do not need to register in person.

Students living in private housing will have to register with the Foreign Police themselves. In case of moving to another flat, students must register again at the police and report their new address.

EU/EFTA nationals should make the registration within 30 days. All citizens from third countries have to register within 3 days.

To register at the Foreign Police Office, a student will need the following documents:

• Passport

• Registration Card: available at the registration

• Health insurance valid for the Czech Republic

...…and a book/music/something to eat to kill time in case of queues :-)
