International office announces a call for applications:

CONFERENCE CENTRAL EUROPE/JAPAN STUDENT CONFERENCE

We offer the opportunity to participate in the Central Europe / Japan Student Conference on "Diversity and Inclusiveness: Divergent Treatment of Neglected Minorities as Seen by Students in Asia and Europe", which will take place on February 13, 2020 in Tokyo.

Number of places for our students: 3

The call is open for students of bachelor programs only.

The conference is organized by the Josai Institute for Central European Studies and will be held for the sixth time and this time the Czech Republic should be represented by a student from Charles University. The organizer provides and pays air tickets, accommodation for 4 nights and boarding.

We would like to ask you to submit the following documents in English to Aneta Höschlová, room 216, Hollar, on Wednesday, November 13, until 3:30 PM.

  • consent to the processing of personal data
  • Cover letter
  • CV
  • Summary of the planned presentation of 1 page (about 600 words)
  • Transcript of study records for the whole studies
  • Confirmation of language proficiency (language certificate, confirmation from the Language center at FSV, or highlighted completed English exams on your transcript)

UNIVERSITÄT ZU KÖLN SCHOLARSHIP, CALENDAR YEAR 2020

The Universität zu Köln offers 2-3 places for a one-month scholarship stay for Ph.D. students or academic staff of Charles University between February and December 2020.

Scholarship: Ph.D. students - 1.000,- EUR per month 

                       academic staff - 1.500,- EUR per month 

Required documents:

  • Academic Visitor Application - for PhD students and academics (the signature of the Vice-Dean for International Relations will be provided by the International Office)
  • consent to the processing of my personal data
  • CV (Ph.D. students only)
  • Preliminary letter of acceptance from the host university (letter of invitation for academic staff)
  • Detailed description of the study plan in German or English  (Ph.D. students only)
  • Transcript of records from previous studies (for Ph.D. students only)

UNIVERSITY OF HAMBURG SCHOLARSHIP, CALENDAR YEAR 2020

The University of Hamburg offers 10 places for a one-month scholarship stay for PhD students or academic staff of Charles University between February and December 2020.

Scholarship: PhD students - 1.200,- EUR per month (54 EUR per day)

                       academic staff - 1.400,- EUR per month (70 EUR per day)

Scholarships may be shorter than a month, in which case the scholarship will be counted based on a daily rate.

UNIVERSITY OF VIENNA SCHOLARSHIP, CALENDAR YEAR 2020

The University of Vienna offers 4 places for a one-month scholarship stay for young researches (PHD-candidates or Post-Docs) between February and December 2020. The candidates wouldn't have the accommodation provided, they much arrange it by themselves.

Scholarship: 1.000,- EUR per month

Candidates must arrange their research stay with the academic from the University of Vienna (supervisor), which can be found at: http://www.univie.ac.at/organisation. The candidate will provide the academic brief curriculum vitae and a description of the planned research stay. Together they will pre-arrange the term of the stay. The academic from the University of Vienna will issue the Acceptance letter of a supervisor.

  • Application Form
  • Consent to the processing of my personal data
  • Curriculum vitae (tabular Form)
  • List of publications
  • A detailed description of the research project and its goals
  • Short bibliography related to the research topic
  • Letter of Recommendation of a researcher from the applicant’s home university and study grade point average from previous studies
  • Acceptance Letter of an academic supervisor at the University of Vienna
