Scholarships for students and PhD students at our partner universities in Germany for AY 2024/25

We bring an additional offer of scholarships for students and PhD students in the framework of inter-university cooperation at our partner universities in Germany - academic year 2024/2025:

Universität des Saarlandes

• 2 semester scholarships for bachelor or master students - 934 EUR per month (summer semester 2024/2025)
• 2 semester scholarships for doctoral students - 1200 EUR per month (possible to go for several weeks - max. 3 months in the period January - December 2025)

Heinrich Heine Universität Düsseldorf

• 1 semester scholarship for bachelor and master students - 934 EUR per month (not for doctoral students) – (summer semester 2024/2025)
• written confirmation from an HHU lecturer that they are willing to provide the usual level of student supervision

Universität Hamburg

• 2 semester scholarships for bachelor, master or doctoral students – 1000 EUR per month (summer semester 2024/2025)

Universität Leipzig

• 1 semester scholarship for bachelor, master or doctoral students – 500 EUR per month (summer semester 2024/2025)

Universität Heidelberg

• 1 semester scholarship for bachelor, master or doctoral students - 700 EUR per month (summer semester 2024/2025 - 5 months including the intensive German course before the beginning of the semester)

Universität Bonn

• 8 one-month-long scholarships for PhD students – 1200 EUR/month (possible to go there until December 2024)

Required documents (bachelor and master students) - semester scholarships

• CV (German or English language)
• Covering letter (German or English language)
• Study plan
• Recommendation letter by a CU faculty member (German or English) (only by the University of Hamburg 2 recommendation letters) 
• Confirmation of German or English language proficiency (language exam certificate or confirmation from the language department) – level B2
• Confirmed transcript of study results for the entire studies at the university, average of study result
• Written confirmation from an HHU lecturer that they are willing to provide the usual level of student supervision (just for HHU Düsseldorf)

Required documents (doctoral students) - semester scholarships

• CV (German or English language)
• Completed Academic Visitor Application
• Covering letter (German or English language)
• Summary of the dissertation topic (German or English)
• Recommendation letter by a CU faculty member (German or English) (only by the University of Hamburg 2 recommendation letters) 
• Confirmation of admission to doctoral studies
• Confirmed transcript of study results from previous studies, average of study results
• Confirmation of German or English language proficiency (language exam certificate or confirmation from the language department) – level B2
• Preliminary promise of admission by a teacher from a partner university

Required documents (doctoral students)  - one-month-long scholarships

• Completed Academic Visitor Application
• CV (German or English language)
• description of the research project, including a justification for the research stay at the Universität Bonn
• preliminary promise of admission by a teacher from a partner university
• average of study results from previous studies

Students still have the possibility to select one university as an alternative to the university of their first choice.

Student have to submit the application through the UK Web Application. The login is the same as for CAS. Students have to upload all documents to the online application by 30th September 2024.
