Prof. Milena Králíčková was elected candidate for the Rector of Charles University
At its meeting today, the Academic Senate of Charles University elected Professor Milena Králíčková candidate for the Rector of Charles University in the first round of elections. The proposal for the appointment of the rector will be submitted to the President of the Czech Republic through the Minister of Education. On February 1, 2022, the new Rector of Charles University will take office. The term of office is four years.
Two candidates for the position of Rector were proposed to the Academic Senate of Charles University: prof. PhDr. Michal Stehlík, Ph.D. and prof. MUDr. Milena Králíčková, Ph.D.
69 of the 70 members of the Academic Senate of Charles University took part in the election on 22 October 2021. Michal Stehlík won 14 valid votes in the first round and Milena Králíčková 55.
