Operation of the Hollar building during its upcoming renovation

We would like to provide you with an update about the operation of the Hollar building in connection with its upcoming renovation and modernization.

From June 17 to 21, 2024, selected rooms in the building will be cleared out and furniture will be moved. Normal operation will not be restricted by this.

On Monday, June 24, 2024, construction work will begin in the rear section of the building and will continue until the beginning of the winter semester.

From this date, the Hollar building will experience several operational restrictions:

  • The rear entrance from Divadelní Street will be temporarily closed. Entry to the building will be possible only through the main entrance from Smetanovo nábřeží.
  • The staircase at the back of the building will be inaccessible to students. Therefore, please only use the stairs or elevator right behind the main entrance to move around the building.
  • The rear part of the atrium will be demarcated for construction purposes and also inaccessible to students.
  • The Na Hollaru café will also remain closed during the summer months.

In connection with the renovation, there will also be a change in the functioning of some departments.

International Office for both exchange and degree students:

  • From June 24 to 28, 2024, it will be available to students in room H011.
  • From July 1 to August 31, 2024, the office hours of the International Office will be canceled. If necessary, the coordinators can be contacted by email or phone and you can arrange a meeting with them.

Information for ICSJ students: As of June 17, 2024, state final exams will be moved from Hollar to the Jinonice Campus or the Voršilská building due to the clearing of selected rooms. Therefore, please keep an eye out for up-to-date information in your email regarding the holding of final exams until the end of this semester.

The FSV UK employees received detailed instructions via email.

Thank you for your patience and kindness and we look forward to seeing you in the new academic year.
