Jadwiga Šanderová received the Silver Medal of Charles University

Doc. Jadwiga Šanderová from the Institute of Sociological Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, received the Silver Medal of Charles University on May 28, 2020, from the Rector of Charles University for her lifelong work in the field of sociology and long-term scientific and pedagogical work at Charles University. Doc. Šanderová received this honor on the occasion of the meeting of the Scientific Board of Charles University, and so was among personalities who indelibly entered the history of the university with their scientific and pedagogical work and thus strived to spread its good name.

Doc. Jadwiga Šanderová worked at the Department of Sociology of the ISS FSV UK from January 1, 1992, to 2019, and has long participated in shaping the profile of the department. The long-term professional interest of hers is a social stratification with a focus on social and cultural inequalities.
