The Czech Republic remains at the top ten of the most peaceful countries in the world

The Czech Republic remains at the top ten of the most peaceful countries in the world after Iceland, New Zealand, Portugal, Austria, Denmark, Canada and Singapore. The 14th edition of the Global Peace Index ranked 163 independent states and territories according to their level of peacefulness. The Czech Republic was listed on the 8th place.

GPI is produced by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), the world’s leading think tank dedicated to developing metrics to analyse peace and to quantify its economic value. It does this by developing global and national indices, calculating the economic cost of violence, analysing country level risk and understanding positive peace.
