  • Greetings from the Dean in the new academic year 2024/25

  • Sustainability Days 1-4 October

    FSV UK is participating in the European Sustainable Development Week again this year.The Sustainability Working Group, in cooperation with student societies, prepared a varied program for you on 1-4 October 2024.
  • Tomáš Havránek's project was nominated for the Prize of the Chairman of the Czech Science Foundation (GACR)

    Prof. Tomáš Havránek from the Institute of Economic Studies received the nomination for his project Meta-Analyses of Returns on Financial Investment Management Strategies​​​​​​​. Other researchers from FSV UK also collaborated on the successful project – i.e. Jiří Novák, Jiří Schwarz and a recent doctoral graduate Mohammad Ali Elminejad Anjileh. Prize winners will be announced on October 8, 2024.
  • Applications for student grants for the Winter Semester 2024

    The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, announces the deadline for submitting applications for student grants for the winter semester of 2024. The deadline for applications is 8th of October at 23:59. The actual presentation will take place on 15th of October at 17:00. Applicants will be informed about the meeting details, including the exact room and the presentation schedule, via email.
  • The Jinonice Campus nominated in the Construction of the Year 2024 competition

    The Jinonice Campus received a nomination in this year's 32nd edition of the Construction of the Year competition. In total, 38 of the 120 buildings entered were shortlisted. From Sunday, September 1, 2024, as part of the prestigious competition, voting for the Public Prize - the CNN Prima NEWS Prize, in which all registered buildings are involved, is also taking place.
  • The Mirror of Conflict exhibition at Hollar Gallery

    The Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism invites you to an art-based research exhibition on the memorials of Cyprus by Nico Carpentier. The exhibition takes place from 1 to 6 October 2024 at Hollar Gallery. The gallery's opening hours are 10.00–12.00 am and 1.00–6.00 pm.
