  • May in Motion staff challenge

    The Well-being Working Group and the Sustainability Working Group have prepared the May in Motion challenge for all FSV UK employees. Both individuals and teams of faculty employees can participate in the challenge. You can compete from 1 to 31 May 2025 in up to four categories – walking, running, swimming and cycling.
  • 35 Years of Science at FSV UK exhibition

    We cordially invite you to the exhibition 35 Years of Science at FSV UK, which will be held on the occasion of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. The exhibition will briefly present not only the history of our faculty and its institutes, but also, above all, scientific achievements and significant milestones in research at FSV UK. The exhibition will be open from Thursday, April 24, 2025, in foyer C of the Jinonice Campus.

    Jaroslava Hasmanová Marhánková from the Institute of Sociological Studies has explored various topics throughout her academic career. In recent years, she has primarily focused on the sociology of medicine. Through her current research on antibiotic resistance, she aims to deepen the necessary collaboration between medical and social sciences. Read about her academic path and current research projects.

    We invite you to the opening of the Multivision exhibition, featuring works by students of journalism, which will take place on March 19 at 6 PM in the Jinonice Campus. Media are an inseparable part of civil society. Journalists guide the public through the labyrinth of events, enriching them with new perspectives seen from various angles. The Multivision exhibition will showcase the perspectives of nearly thirty graduates of the Journalism program at Charles University.
