Important note for visa-seeking students: Please read about the visa process carefully before applying. You are responsible for organizing your legal stay in Czechia and the visa application process can get quite lengthy. The extended deadlines are therefore strongly recommended to students who already possess the legal right to long-term stay in Czechia.

The Government of the Czech Republic offers scholarships
The Government of the Czech Republic is providing scholarships in support of the study of foreign nationals at public institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic. -
Researchers from IES succeeded with the project in the PRIMUS competition
Researchers from IES FSV UK succeeded in the PRIMUS university competition. Their project Energy Economics and Environmental Policy will be financially supported for the next two years. -
The Czech Republic remains at the top ten of the most peaceful countries in the world
The Czech Republic remains at the top ten of the most peaceful countries in the world after Iceland, New Zealand, Portugal, Austria, Denmark, Canada and Singapore. The new Global Peace Index (GPI) ranked 163 independent states and territories according to their level of peacefulness. -
Ladislav Krištoufek Became the Youngest Appointed Professor
Ladislav Krištoufek from the Institute of Economic Studies became the youngest appointed professor in the Humanities and Social Sciences in the modern history of Charles University. -
Professor Lenka Rovná was awarded Gold Medal of Charles University
Professor Lenka Rovná from the Institute of International Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University received from the Rector the Gold Medal of Charles University for the development of the internationalization of Charles University and the development of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University. -
Jadwiga Šanderová received the Silver Medal of Charles University
Doc. Jadwiga Šanderová from the Institute of Sociological Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, received the Silver Medal of Charles University from the Rector of Charles University for her lifelong work in the field of sociology and long-term scientific and pedagogical work at Charles University.
