  • 4EU+ online courses offer for Winter Semester 2024/25

    Students of 4EU+ network universities can now choose and enroll in online courses from 4EU+ partner universities, which will gradually publish their offers on the 4EU+ student portal. The offers include courses in various disciplines (mainly in the field of natural sciences, humanities and social sciences and English language).
  • CU will defend the HR Excellence in Research this year

    Charles University will defend the HR Excellence in Research this year. It had been five years since CU received the prestigious award HR Excellence in Research (the HR Award) from the European Commission.
  • International competition for young scientists Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic 2024

    On September 12, 2024, the 9th year of the Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic international competition will take place in the premises of the National Technical Library. The application deadline is set for 30 June 2024. The winner of the national round will represent the Czech Republic at the global final in Berlin.
  • Summer opening hours

    Until 2 September 2024, the buildings, faculty post room and libraries will be open according to summer opening hours. Check the overview here.
  • Operation of the Hollar building during its upcoming renovation

    From June 17 to 21, 2024, selected rooms in the Hollar building will be cleared out and furniture will be moved. Normal operation will not be restricted by this. On June 24, 2024, construction work will begin in the rear section of the building and will continue until the beginning of the winter semester. From this date, the Hollar building will experience several operational restrictions.
  • Faculty of Social Sciences has three new professors

    On Thursday, June 13, 2024, prof. PhDr. Michal Bauer, Ph.D., prof. Petr Janský, M.Sc., Ph.D., and prof. Ing. Michal Plaček, Ph.D. from the Faculty of Social Sciences were appointed professors. They received the decrees from the hands of the President Petr Pavel and Mikuláš Bek, the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports.
