Head of the Department of Russian and East European Studies
The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, announces a selection procedure to fill the position of Head of the Department of Russian and East European Studies at the Institute of International Studies.
Requirements:
- University degree and publication record in a relevant field
- Academic degree Ph.D. (at minimum)
- Experience in leading academic and research teams, managing national and international projects, and working in international cooperation
- Excellent spoken and written command of English and Russian
- Knowledge of Czech is an advantage
We offer:
- Full-time employment (1.0 FTE, 40 hours/week)
- Expected start date: 1 August 2025

- Submission of a concept for the development of research, organizational, and educational activities of the Department of Russian and East European Studies (in accordance with the IMS Development Strategy 2023–2026, the Long-Term Plan of FSV UK, and Charles University)
