  • Planned power outage in the Jinonice Campus

    On Saturday, 21 March 2026, a power outage will occur in the building of the Jinonice Campus due to ongoing reconstruction works. As a result, access to the campus and to the night study room of the Jinonice Library will not be possible. The outage may also affect the operation of some IT services provided by the faculty. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Joint Seed Call with University of St Andrews is open

    Another Joint Seed Funding call with the University of St Andrews has been announced. This is the fifth call for proposals for joint initiatives between Charles University and UoStA to facilitate initial cooperation within our strategic goals. Deadline for submission of proposals is May 18, 2026.
  • Python trainings for researchers

    The Research Software Engineering (RSE) at Charles University invites you to a new cycle of training for researchers in the Python programming language. The courses are face-to-face and will be held in the premises of the MFF UK Impakt Pavilion, V Holešovičkách 2, Lecture Hall N2. All courses will be taught in English.
  • Student Research Conference 2026: Call for abstracts

    You can now submit abstracts for Student Research Conference 2026 that takes place on 12 June 2026 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Jinonice Campus. The submission deadline is 12 May 2026. The conference is primarily intended for students enrolled in all English-language Bachelor's and Master's programmes at FSV UK. Students from Czech-language programmes are also warmly invited to participate, provided they deliver their presentations or posters in English.
  • Faculty Night 2026 in the Jinonice Campus

    Student societies invite you to the second annual Faculty Night event, which will take place on 23 April 2026 in the Jinonice Campus. Experience an evening in Jinonice full of activities, lectures and music. It will be an evening you will not forget, so don't miss it!
  • Apply for accommodation at Hlávka dormitory for AY 2026/27

    In the next academic year 2026/2027, the Foundation "Endowment of Josef, Marie and Zdeňka Hlávka" will provide partial reimbursement of the dormitory fees at Hlávka Dormitory for students in a difficult financial situation who achieve excellent academic or scientific results. The application deadline is 17 April 2026.
