Institute of International Studies
Institute of International Studies (IMS)
The study fields of the Institute of International Studies (IMS) deal with political, cultural, historical, economic, legal and social aspects of the development of territories affecting the position of Czechia in the contemporary world. In this sense, North America, Western Europe, German-speaking countries, Central Eastern Europe, the Balkans and the post-Soviet space represent the main content of studies at IMS. The international weight of IMS is evidenced by the fact that since 2007 it has been running the International Master in Economy, State and Society Master's study program within the framework of the prestigious Erasmus Mundus program and in cooperation with University College London.
Renowned foreign partners of IMS include, for example, Oxford University, the London School of Economics and Political Science, Science Po Paris and a number of other European and overseas universities. The result of exceptionally rich international cooperation is the fact that every semester students go on dozens of study stays to partner universities in Europe and beyond.
