A word from the FSV UK Dean, Alice N. Tejkalová

Dear colleagues,

Let me thank you all on behalf of the entire faculty management for the challenging academic year we have overcome together. I wish you a beautiful summer, during which, I believe, we will gain strength for the next year. We are now going through a very difficult period not only personally, but as a society, and I am extremely proud that students, teachers, and graduates of our faculty repeatedly prove that they are the ones that the public can rely on in difficult times. Since we are certainly not at the end yet, I hope all of us will persevere and not give up. At the same time, if you feel that you are really running out of energy, do not be afraid to ask family, friends or colleagues for help, or seek professional aid. Here, too, the sooner the better. It is not a sign of weakness, on the contrary. In the last two years, we have been facing enormous pressure in reconciling study/work and personal lives, and many of us have experienced great personal losses for which we were not prepared. I firmly hope that the situation will gradually get better. Let's hold on. Wishing a lot of energy and health to you and your loved ones!
