JSTOR AI Research Tool Assistant
The JSTOR AI Research Tool beta program is available until at least the end of the year. This is a pilot of an interactive tool using artificial intelligence that makes it easier for users to browse the contents of the JSTOR database. The goal of the JSTOR AI Research Tool is to help find key ideas, evaluate the relevance of texts, and discover related topics.
JSTOR AI Research Tool (Assistant) is for Charles University available after signing in the JSTOR database.
- Access the database from the e-Resources Portal, this is a necessary step for your account to be correctly paired with the CU subscription
- In the upper right corner, select Register (you don't have an account yet) / Log in (you already have an account)
- Search for content that interests you
- An AI assistant window will appear next to/below the content (depending on the screen size).
- Its use is intuitive, it offers some predefined options
Feel free to test the Assistant in different languages and use the "Submit feedback" button to give feedback to the developers. The assistant is still in beta, and your feedback will help improve it. You may also occasionally receive notifications about new features and improvements while using JSTOR. You can always turn the assistant off/on using the OFF/ON switch.

Web of Science Research Assistant tool
Charles University has the pilot access to the AI tool Web of Science Research Assistant Tool for the period from 9 to 30 September 2024.
It is a generative AI tool that helps users search the Web of Science Core Collection, provides overviews and visualizations of search results, and offers the ability to explore connections between topics, literature, and authors. A detailed description and usage examples can be found here.
The assistant is available automatically after accessing WoS (appears in the top bar or on the main page). Please access Wos exclusively via e-resources Portal.
