NTK Doctoral Summer School

We would like to inform you about this year's Doctoral Summer School (DSS) on September 1 and 2, 2026, organized by the National Technical Library (NTK) in cooperation with other partners. The NTK Doctoral Summer School is traditionally focused on developing transferable skills of beginning researchers and connects doctoral students across disciplines and institutions. It thus offers good educational opportunities for doctoral students and beginning postdoctoral students: through practical workshops, it allows them to acquire specific skills and supports their scientific and career development.

This year, participants of the NTK Doctoral Summer School can look forward to:

• Keynote career lectures from successful research group leaders
• Practical workshop on research funding and grant application writing
• Practical workshop on visual communication and poster creation
• Practical workshop on decision-making techniques

The educational program is complemented by accompanying activities - a discussion panel on equal opportunities in Czech science, a bowling tournament, an excursion to the NTK and other networking.

For whom: for doctoral students of all years and fields, postdocs within one year of completing their doctorate are also welcome.

Registration is open until 15. 6. 2026 or until capacity is reached. For participants from outside Prague, there is the option of affordable accommodation at the University of Technology dormitory (capacity is limited).
