  • The virtual mobility courses and POVIM fund for the WS 2025/26 call is open

    The call of the virtual mobility courses for the winter semester 2025/26 and the call for POVIM fund have been announced. The deadline for the courses collection and POVIM applications is August 6, 2025.

  • May in Motion staff challenge results

    71 employees and 16 teams took part in the FSV UK May in Motion challenge. The Head of the Well-Being Working Group Zuzana Kasáková and the Head of the Sustainability Working Group Petra Koudelková presented the prizes to the winners at the staff summer meetup on 24 June 2025. We congratulate the winners!

  • Migration of Microsoft 365 accounts to the university tenant

    Between June and August 2025, all Microsoft 365 accounts will be transferred from the faculty environment fsv.cuni.cz to the university tenant cuni.cz, which is managed by the Charles University Rectorate.   • Statement by the Dean of FSV UK on the Sentencing of PhD Student Bahruz Samadov

    We are following with deep concern the developments in the case of Bahruz Samadov, a PhD student at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, who, according to available information, was sentenced to 15 years in prison in Baku, Azerbaijan, on June 20, 2025, for alleged treason. We are convinced that the charges are politically motivated, and therefore we strongly condemn the sentence.

  • FSV UK Dean announces the 30th Josef Vavroušek Award

    The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University announces the 30th public competition for Josef Vavroušek Award, subtitled Human Values and Civilization Development Problems. Competition will include Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, Rigorosum and Dissertation theses defended in the current and in the previous academic year. The deadline for application is 25 July 2025.
