As of October 1, 2026, two calls for applications are open for FSV UK students: Inter-university and inter-faculty study stays for the winter semester / full academic year 2027/2028 with the deadline October 31, 2026, and CU Mobility Fund – call for applications for funding towards a study stay or internship abroad, with the deadline October 21, 2026. -

Launching the FSV UK Staff Intranet
FSV UK is launching a new intranet designed exclusively for faculty staff. Accessible after logging in at intranet.fsv.cuni.cz, it consolidates all information essential for daily work at the faculty. With this launch, the faculty continues to develop its internal communication and creates a clear, organized environment where staff can access up-to-date information. -
What can reverse democratic decline? Leading democracy scholar Larry Diamond to visit FSV UK
Professor Larry Diamond, an American political scientist at Stanford University and one of the world’s leading scholars of democracy and democratization, will visit FSV UK. In his lecture, The Wave of Populist Authoritarianism, And How to Reverse It, he will address one of the most pressing challenges facing democracies today: the rise of populist authoritarianism and the strategies that can be used to counter and reverse this trend. Join us on Tuesday, 13 October 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at the Jinonice Campus (Hall C117). -
