  • Announcement of Josef Vavroušek Student Award

    Submit your thesis to the competition for Josef Vavroušek Student Award. In the spirit of the legacy of Josef Vavroušek—a distinguished figure who advocated sustainable development as the harmonious coexistence of humankind, society, and nature, with an emphasis on responsibility towards future generations—the Award is intended for outstanding works devoted to social science research on issues of sustainable development, with a particular focus on environmental protection. An international dimension or a broader societal impact of the work is considered a welcome asset. Application deadline is 24 July 2026.
  • Call for Applications – 4EU+ Programme in Entrepreneurial and Intrapreneurial Project Management

    Applications are now open for the 4EU+ “Entrepreneurial and Intrapreneurial Project Management” programme, starting this November. This programme offers PhD students the opportunity to develop practical skills in innovation, entrepreneurship, business, and international project management alongside their doctoral research. Deadline: 23 July 2026.
  • Science at FSV UK: How to measure the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence? Researchers from FSV UK contributed to global research published in Nature

    More than a thousand scientists from around the world joined forces to create Humanity’s Last Exam – one of the most significant benchmarks currently used to evaluate the capabilities of the most advanced artificial intelligence models. Among the contributors to this global project, whose findings were published in the prestigious journal Nature, are Vít Střítecký and Petr Špelda from the Institute of Political Studies at FSV UK.

    The University of Geneva has published the offer of shared courses for the winter semester 2026/27. The current list of courses can be found on the Student Portal. Registration is open until August 30, 2026.

  • Filip Láb Award established at ICSJ: Both this year’s graduates and current students from the institute are eligible to apply

    The Filip Láb Award, initiated at ICSJ by Associate Professor Alice Němcová Tejkalová, will have two categories. The first will be for graduates for the best qualification work, the second category will be for students for organizing an interesting event. Registration is open to students and graduates of Czech and foreign language study programs at ICSJ.
