Three publications from FSV UK succeeded in the Charles University competition of high-quality monographs
Charles University has published the results of this year's round of the high-quality monograph competition (2024 submission year). Three academics from FSV UK were among the successful authors – Lucie Kadlecová, Bohumil Doboš a Karin Roginer Hofmeister. Congratulations to the winners! -
Invitation to the Essential Teaching Skills Course
Teaching and Learning Centre FSV UK is organizing Essential Teaching Skills Course. The course will focus on basic pedagogical competencies and it is designed for anyone looking to find new inspiration for their teaching. The initial part will take place in Opletalova building, room 206, on 22–23 September 2026, from 9:30 AM to 4:20 PM on both days. Please register for the course via the Charles University Educational Portal. -
New 4EU+ grant calls announced
The 4EU+ Alliance is launching two calls for grant applications: SEED4EU+ to support joint research projects and 4EU+ Visiting Professorships for short-term academic stays. The application deadline is 13 October 2026. An online information session will take place on 30 June 2026. -
FSV UK International Staff Week
In June, FSV UK hosted another edition of our International Staff Week focused on the theme Wellbeing of Students and Staff. We were delighted to welcome 29 participants from 15 countries. Throughout the week, we offered a wide range of presentations on the services and support available at Charles University and our faculty. Together, we explored topics related to student and staff wellbeing, internationalisation, communication, support services, and many other areas that connect our institutions. -
Planned power outage in the Jinonice Campus
On Saturday, 20 June 2026, there will be a power outage in the Jinonice Campus due to ongoing renovations. For this reason, the building and the night study rooms of the Jinonice library will be closed all day. The outage may also affect the functioning of some IT services provided by the faculty. Thank you for your understanding. -
NTK Doctoral Summer School
We would like to inform you about this year's Doctoral Summer School on September 1 and 2, 2026, organized by the National Technical Library (NTK) in cooperation with other partners. The NTK Doctoral Summer School is traditionally focused on developing transferable skills of beginning researchers and connects doctoral students across disciplines and institutions. Registration is open until 15. 6. 2026 or until capacity is reached.
