Statement by the FSV UK Dean on the fourth anniversary of Russian aggression against Ukraine
„It is possible that peace conditions will eventually be imposed on Ukraine that it will not prefer, but will not be able to refuse. Even if the outcome of the conflict had more positive contours, in any case, at its end it will be an exhausted and devastated country. When the urgency of the threat of war passes, it will be increasingly difficult, but all the more important not to forget the solidarity that we should feel towards Ukraine,“ FSV UK Dean Tomáš Karásek says. Program CENTRAL Leadership
Applications are now open for the CENTRAL Leadership program, which will take place from 30 August to 20 September 2026. The program is intended for Master's and doctoral students interested in politics, history and culture. Charles University is currently looking for five suitable candidates to participate in the program. Applications can be submitted until 31 March 2026. -
Call for SYLFF scholarship program is open
The Tokyo Foundation for Policy Research (TKFD) SYLFF scholarship program call for 2026 has been announced. The offer is intended for students of doctoral programs in the social sciences or humanities and provides financial support for a period of up to two years for the preparation of a dissertation and other research activities. The application deadline is 30 April 2026. -
Change of the Jinonice Campus FSV UK Library opening hours
From the summer semester, i.e. starting February 16, 2026, the Jinonice Library is newly open from 8:00 am. It is now possible to make Study Rooms reservations starting from 8:00 am. Book reservations and orders will still be available for pickup from 9:00 am at the earliest. -
