  • New Czech Science Foundation competition round

    The Czech Science Foundation has announced a new competition round and made available the application for submitting standard projects, Return Grants, Postdoc individual fellowship projects, international bilateral projects and projects in the LEAD regime with the start of the solution from January 1, 2027. The deadline for submitting project proposals to the Research Office according to the instructions in the handbook for proposers is March 20, 2026.
  • Summer Language Course at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf

    Our partner institution, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, is opening applications for its Summer Language Course. The Faculty of Social Sciences will nominate one student to participate. The selected student will receive a scholarship directly from the partner university. Please upload all the required documents to the online application system by March 4, 2026.
  • Teaching challenge by the Teaching and Learning Centre

    The Teaching and Learning Centre has prepared five categories of teaching challenges, each offering ideas for small or larger steps that can help you grow pedagogically.
  • Apply for the Jacques Derrida award in human and social sciences

    The Embassy of France in Czech Republic launched a call for applications for the 2026 Scientific Prizes, including the Jacques Derrida award in human and social sciences. Doctoral students and recent PhD graduates are now invited to apply directly. The deadline for applications is March 19, 2026.
  • Announcement of the results of the Read with FSV UK employee challenge

    From November 2025 to January 2026, our faculty held the employee challenge Read with FSV UK. During this time, our employees had the opportunity to read books across ten categories that are thematically related to our faculty and its working groups. A total of 35 employees participated in the Read with FSV UK challenge. Congratulations to everyone who has managed to complete the challenge!
  • Open Doors Days 2026 for PhD studies

    Are you considering applying to our PhD study programmes? We invite you to Open Doors Days, which will take place at our faculty's institutes or online. You can connect with the Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism on 18 February from 12:30 pm online. Visit the Institute of Sociological Studies on 4 March from 2:00 pm and the Institute of Political Studies on 17 March from 2:00 pm.
