  • Change of the date: Welcome Party is moving to 29 September

    CHANGE OF THE DATE!!! Due to the weather, we are moving the welcome party to 29 September! Are you an exchange student or first-year degree student at our faculty? Join us for Welcome Party at Střelecký ostrov, get a drink and enjoy the evening with other international students. The party starts at 6 pm.
  • Erasmus Day in the Jinonice Campus on 16 October

    Learn more about student mobilities on Erasmus Day, 16 October 2025, in the Jinonice Campus. Meet folks from the International Office and students who have experiences with study stays in the foyer A or come to a presentation Off To The World in room B230 from 2 to 3:30 pm. Refreshments from all around the world will be ready for you too!
  • Short-term outage of the FSV UK website

    On Tuesday, 23 September 2025, at around 9:00 AM, scheduled maintenance and an update of the Drupal content management system will occur. Due to this, there will be a short-term outage of the FSV UK website, including the institutes’ and the library’s websites. If you encounter any issues with the website after the update, please contact Lucie Návratová from the IT department.
  • Presentation of the candidate for the position of FSV UK Dean

    The FSV UK Academic Senate announced at its meeting on May 20, 2025 the election of a candidate for the position of Dean for the period 2026-2030. The academic community proposed one candidate for this position within the regular deadline for submitting candidacies – the current FSV UK Dean,Tomáš Karásek. The candidate's presentation will take place on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 3 p.m. in the Hollar building, room H212.

  • FSV UK Academic Senate nominated a candidate for the position of CU Rector

    Prof. Ladislav Krištoufek was nominated as a candidate for the position of Rector of Charles University at a meeting of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. The election of the candidate for the period 2026–2030 will take place on 31 October 2025 at a meeting of the Academic Senate of Charles University.
