FSV UK fully supports the socio-scientific research. The Faculty integrates and co-ordinates the research plan it has acquired with several departments of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. Within this framework, FSV UK has made a commitment to provide the professional public with a critical and scientifically-based reflection on the development of Czech society from a long-term perspective.

Life at Faculty

Student life is not only studying at a library or your dorm and attending lectures and seminars! There is a whole bunch of stuff students do together in their free time - social, cultural, political or sport events, trips, parties...and much more! Petr Špecián is an interdisciplinary academic with a background in economics, philosophy, and political theory. His research focuses on epistemic democratization, the relationship between democracy and expertise, and the transformative potential of generative artificial intelligence for political institutions, social-science research, and higher education. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the Institute of Political Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. He serves as the Coordinator for Studies at the Politics, Philosophy and Economics programme, an international bachelor's programme of roughly 300 students, and his research sits under the heading of AI institutional transformation.
