New 4EU+ grant calls announced

The 4EU+ Alliance is launching two calls for grant applications: 

• SEED4EU+ – supporting joint research projects involving researchers from at least three 4EU+ universities. This year, the call is focused exclusively on scientific activities.
• 4EU+ Visiting Professorships – supporting short-term (3-6 weeks) academic stays at another 4EU+ university for the purpose of developing joint research and educational activities.

Both calls now include two lines: Early Career and Standard, in line with the 4EU+ Strategy 2025-2035 and supporting academics and researchers at different stages of their careers.

Application deadline: October 13, 2026.

You can only apply for support within one of these calls.

In the case of the SEED4EU+ call, potential researchers from Charles University are required to consult the prepared budget through their faculty coordinator (at FSV: Tereza Broučková or Michaela Rudinská regarding the mobility call Visiting professorships) before submitting a proposal.

Deadline for submitting the project plan to the Research Office (tereza.brouckova@fsv.cuni.cz): October 2, 2026.

The 4EU+ Alliance is also launching 4EU+Synergy projects call.

Charles University supports teams collaborating within the 4EU+ Alliance through the 4EU+ Synergy Projects scheme. Academic staff and students of Charles University may apply for financial support for collaboration with colleagues from at least two other 4EU+ universities. 

Applications may be submitted by 15 October 2026.
